Post 16 Study
At Hazelwood Integrated College we believe that the experience in Post 16 should be different as students mature. ‘Your Life, Your College, Your Future’. We aim to encourage students by giving them increased responsibility for their own education and raising their expectations. In recent years, the college has invested significantly in enhancing the Post 16 experience from the Common Room, the Post 16 Study to the Careers Department.
In Post 16, students will reduce the number of subjects they study and begin to think about their intended university courses, further education and even preparation for the world of work. Extensive guidance and support is given to Post 16 from their Tutors and the Careers Team, as a general rule students should choose the subjects they enjoy and subjects that will help them achieve their future career ambitions.
While we strongly encourage all of our Year 12 pupils to return to the college to pursue their Post 16 studies, applications from students who wish to transfer to Hazelwood Integrated College from other schools are also welcomed.
